On 16–17 March 2017, leading figures in global politics will come together in Baku to discuss the future of international relations. The meeting will provide a forum for current and former Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers and experts to assess the state of the world, pressing challenges to global governance, and routes to the re-establishment international cooperation.
Building on the findings from the Baku Forum of 2016 and the High Level Conferences organised by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, the Fifth Global Baku Forum will attempt to initiate a global discussion and identify the necessary steps to boost moderation, tolerance and collaboration among world powers.
Over 70 former and current world leaders gather each year in Baku to discuss issues of top priority such as the rise of populism, the future of Russia-West relations, the threat of radicalisation, the role of women in peace leadership, or the use of energy security and inter-faith dialogue as catalysts for peace.
