Antonio Zanardi Landi

Diplomatic Advisor to the President of Italy

Antonio Zanardi Landi is an Italian diplomat. Beginning his diplomatic service in 1978, Landi served in various positions in Ottawa, Tehran, London and Rome. In 2004 he received his first posting as ambassador, to Serbia, where he made significant contributions to the reconstruction of bilateral political and trade links with Italy following the Balkan war. He has since served as ambassador to the Holy See and Russia, and now serves as diplomatic advisor to the Italian President. After graduating in law at Padua, Landi served in the army before joining the diplomatic service. In addition to his work, he serves on the board of the Italian geopolitical magazine "Limes," and is President of the Aquileia Foundation, a cultural heritage organisation.
